We make it straightforward to remove your data from 1M Finance. Whether you want to clear the app's data on your device or delete your account entirely, this page explains what each option does — and what happens next.
Your Two Options
Reversible
Clear App Data
Removes all 1M Finance data stored on this device and signs you out. Your account stays active on our servers.
What gets removed:
- Accounts, transactions, and categories stored on-device
- Budgets and recurring transaction rules
- App preferences (theme, currency, display settings)
- Cached exchange rates and local subscription data
What stays:
- Your 1M Finance account (email, login credentials)
- Any data previously synced to our servers
- Your subscription status (restored on next sign-in)
- Cloud backups on Google Drive or iCloud (you can restore from them after signing back in)
You can sign back in at any time. However, any data that exists only on this device and was never backed up is permanently lost — it cannot be recovered.
Permanent
Delete Account
Permanently deletes your 1M Finance account, all on-device data, and all server-side data. This cannot be undone.
What gets removed:
- Everything listed under "Clear App Data" above
- Your login account and credentials
- Server-side user profile and app settings
- 1M Finance subscription records stored on our servers
Before you delete your account:
- Cancel your subscription first. If you have an active subscription through the App Store or Google Play, cancel it before deleting your account. Deleting your account does not automatically stop subscription billing.
- You may be asked to re-enter your password. This is a security step to confirm your identity.
- Cloud backups are not deleted. Any backups stored on Google Drive or iCloud remain in your cloud storage and must be removed manually.
Note: Deleting your 1M Finance account does not cancel subscriptions billed through Apple or Google. To stop billing, cancel your subscription directly in the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account.
If you later create a new account and want to reactivate a previous subscription, use Restore Purchases on the subscription screen.
What Data We Store
1M Finance is designed with a local-first approach. Most of your financial data lives on your device.
- On your device: Accounts, transactions, categories, subcategories, budgets, recurring transactions, app preferences, cached exchange rates, subscription status.
- On our servers: Your email address and authentication details, user profile, subscription status, app settings.
How to Delete Data in the App
- Open 1M Finance and tap your profile icon (top-left corner) to open Settings.
- Scroll down to the Data & Privacy section.
- Tap Clear App Data or Delete Account.
- Review the confirmation prompt and confirm your choice.
- For account deletion with email sign-in, enter your password when prompted.
Recovery
Clear App Data: Your account remains active. Sign back in to continue using the app — your subscription restores automatically. Any data that existed only on this device and was never backed up cannot be recovered.
Delete Account: This is permanent and irreversible. All data is removed from our servers and cannot be recovered. You would need to create a new account to use 1M Finance again.
